1) Engineering the Future: apprentices one year on
After completing their first year at Powerstar, we caught up with our two apprentices to see how they have found the experience so far. Ross,17 enjoys the family atmosphere and feels being given the opportunity to learn about the components when he first started has helped him understand how our systems work. Jamie, 19 enjoys being able to learn whilst earning a wage. He has ambitions to join the Powerstar installation team once he completes his apprenticeship.
2) End of Year Energy Events
With the darker nights and colder weather approaching, energy efficiency is a hot topic among many energy managers. With this in mind, we have released dates for our final free events of 2017. Join in our discussions on energy efficiency management, how the government 2040 ‘clearair’ plans affect the network and how energy storage is a solution to relieve demand on the grid.
3) Fall into Powerstar USA’s Events
Powerstar USA continued their 2017 events schedule with visits to the World Energy Engineering Congress (WEEC) in Atlanta on 27th – 29th September, and the Renewable Energy Vermont Conference in Vermont on 2nd – 3rd October, in order to engage delegates in discussions about energy management and energy efficiency. Powerstar USA were joined in Vermont by approved distributors VT Solar Farmers to showcase the range of energy saving solutions Powerstar has to offer.
4) Powerstar is a Finalist for two Energy 17 Awards
Powerstar has been shortlisted for two 2017 Energy Awards. VIRTUE EV energy storage solution has been shortlisted in the Innovation of the Year – Technology: Physical category and the online remote monitoring and management service for the VIRTUE energy storage solution has been shortlisted for the Smart Product of the Year.
5) Independent Verification for Powerstar LITE
