What is variable voltage optimisation?

Powerstar MAX variable voltage optimisation systems maintain the voltage at a constant, stable level.

In many sites the voltage levels vary by as much as 30V per day, making fixed voltage optimisation less suitable. Likewise those businesses who have critical services or equipment on site may benefit from the additional security of a constant, stable supply offered by variable voltage optimisation.

Powerstar MAX variable voltage optimisation systems do not supersede the Powerstar fixed voltage optimisation range, they provide an alternative solution for businesses which are unsuited to fixed voltage optimisation.

Product range specifications

Powerstar MAX variable voltage optimisationThe Powerstar MAX variable voltage optimisation system is available in a range of sizes from 50kVA to 2,500kVA. Using intelligent electronic-dynamic technology it is capable of providing stable voltage to an accuracy of (± 1.5V).

Included in the Powerstar MAX  variable voltage optimisation system is the HMI (Human Machine Interface), and automatic voltage reduction bypass. Additional options include harmonic mitigation winding and manual switch bypass.

The Powerstar MAX systems are not off the shelf solutions and are engineered to suit the voltage characteristics of each site.
