The Powerstar MAX range of electronic-dynamic, variable voltage optimization systems optimize the voltage to a constant level.
This is achieved through the use of intelligent electronic controls that automatically adjust and maintain the voltage to create a stable profile.
The Powerstar MAX range of electronic-dynamic, variable voltage optimization systems are effective energy savings solutions for companies looking to reduce electricity consumption and associated carbon emissions.
The benefits of installing a Powerstar variable voltage optimization system are:
The Powerstar MAX electronic-dynamic, variable voltage optimization system is ideal for companies with the following profile:
Powerstar MAX variable voltage optimization systems maintain the voltage at a constant, stable level.
In many sites the voltage levels vary by as much as 30V per day, making fixed voltage optimization less suitable. Likewise those businesses who have critical services or equipment on site may benefit from the additional security of a constant, stable supply offered by variable voltage optimization.
Powerstar MAX variable voltage optimization systems do not supersede the Powerstar fixed voltage optimization range, they provide an alternative solution for businesses which are unsuited to fixed voltage optimization.
The Powerstar MAX variable voltage optimization system is available in a range of sizes from 50kVA to 2,500kVA. Using intelligent electronic-dynamic technology it is capable of providing stable voltage to an accuracy of (± 1.5V).
Included in the Powerstar MAX variable voltage optimization system is the HMI (Human Machine Interface), and automatic voltage reduction bypass. Additional options include harmonic mitigation winding and manual switch bypass.
The Powerstar MAX systems are not off the shelf solutions and are engineered to suit the voltage characteristics of each site.
Please see our dimensions table for typical case sizes for the Powerstar voltage optimization systems.
Powerstar is proud to announce that, in late 2017, it signed a framework agreement with multinational utility company Centrica plc, owner of British Gas. The terms of the agreement outline Powerstar as a preferred supplier, and highlights Powerstar’s commitment to provide Centrica with behind-the-meter (where a client utilises energy storage onsite) energy storage systems during...
