A quick update from Tom Perry telling us what he has been doing over the last few months.
I am 6 events into the Europro Tour season with the 7th event being held this week at the very well known Close House Golf Club just outside of Newcastle. You may have heard of Close House before as it has held a European Seniors Tour event a few years ago and also it is the club where Lee Westwood is attached to, you can see the logo on the side of his Cap! I played a practice round yesterday and it is in fantastic condition with the greens rolling extremely fast.
The start of the season has been a bit mixed. I had some decent results in Portugal and on the mini tours were I felt like my game was in good shape, however I have only made 2 cuts on the Europro so far.
I started the Europro season at Frilford Heath Golf Club missing the cut by 2 shots, then Burhill Golf Club missing the cut by 1 shot. My first cut made of the year was at Cumberwell Park golf club shooting 67-72-72 for a 2 under par finish for 49th place.
Although I made the cut I felt like my driving of the ball let me down all week and if I had driven it well off the tee I could have really finished high up on the leader board. 2 missed cuts followed then I made the cut in my last event at The Carrick Golf Club on Loch Lomond finishing in the top 50.
