Over the past few months, we have published a series of case studies showcasing the recent success of an energy efficiency project we delivered to Tees Active Ltd., a charitable leisure management organisation.
After approaching us with the desire to reduce their energy consumption, costs, and CO2 emissions, we installed several Powerstar LITE fixed voltage optimisation solutions across selected sites from its portfolio, including; Billingham Forum, Splash Stockton, and Thornaby Pavilion – three modern and diverse leisure facilities serving local communities across Teesside.
The priority for Tees Active Ltd. was to reduce electricity costs in order to reinvest savings into functions core to the business, such as improving onsite equipment and enhancing the customer experience, whilst simultaneously reducing its carbon footprint. Because of this, it was essential that the project had a short payback period to provide a swift return on investment.
The three Tees Active Ltd. facilities chosen to implement the voltage optimisation solutions offered a variety of, activities including: a 547 seat theatre, several cafe’s and bars, Activ8 gyms, a fully equipped ice arena, swimming pools, and sports halls.
Due to the diverse range of equipment and activities in addition to the extended operating hours it upheld to cater to the community – usually 7 days a week – voltage optimisation was an ideal solution to assist in producing significant savings to energy consumption, costs, and CO2 emissions.
To showcase the results of the project undertaken with Tees Active Ltd. and emphasise the savings potential across the leisure industry in general, we are pleased to present a case study summary video, which presents the combined benefits achieved from the project in less than 2 minutes:
