Answering the big question on the powerstar max upgrade
Date
Due to our commitment to the continuous development of our portfolio of smart energy solutions and the desire Powerstar VO-MAX to meet the ever-changing needs of customers, Powerstar VO-MAX has been upgraded to replace the HMI with an online remote monitoring system. (VO-LITE also now comes with Remote Monitoring as standard)
This update will provide users with the ability to view the key performance characteristics of the Powerstar VO-MAX at any time and from anywhere with a secure internet connection. Additionally, the software updates that are periodically needed for the Powerstar VO-MAX can now be performed remotely rather than through the site visits that were mandatory previously in order to perform such updates.
It is also the case that the ability to engage with the energy saving solution in real-time will allow customers to gain a greater understanding of the energy profile of the site and be better able to identify future optimisations. This is because they will be able to assess which data points have been negatively or positively affected at different times due to the rich data profile that is available to them covering such aspects as trends, energy consumption savings, electricity profiles, and cost savings.
As with any change to a product, we understand that there are many questions surrounding the upgrade.
Q: Does this upgrade affect Powerstar LITE?
A: Powerstar LITE also now comes with Remote Monitoring.
Q: Can the existing installations be retrofitted to include the upgrade?
A: Yes, but at a cost which is determined on a case by case basis
Q: Is there a price change?
A: There is no change to the price of a standard system. If an HMI is still desired there is an additional charge.
