KPMG recognises that the long-term success of their business, viability of their communities, and biological systems on which they depend, are threatened by a range of environmental issues – including climate change, water scarcity, depletion of natural resources and associated biodiversity loss.

KPMG is therefore keen to make a difference by reducing their own environmental impact via specific means and methods.

KPMG is a global network of professional firms providing Audit, Tax and Advisory services.

Currently KPMG in Cyprus have more than 750 professionals working to deliver value and provide their clients with the highest-quality service.

KPMG Cyprus, following the CSR guidelines of KPMG international, sought ways to effectively reduce their impact on the environment by reducing electricity consumption and lowering their carbon footprint.

After assessing extensive market research across different energy saving solutions from numerous energy saving companies in the Cyprus market, the Management team of KPMG selected the voltage optimising technology of Powerstar.

In March 2012, a 453kVA Powerstar system was installed at the KPMG Cyprus Office which will  reduce the overall energy consumption on the site, hence reduce both their energy bill and CO2 emissions.

The savings offered by Powerstar are 100% guaranteed which will bode particularly well with the enrichment of the KPMG CSR policy.

Savings in the total electricity consumption of KPMG have exceeded the guaranteed percentage of 7.9% with the achievement of 10.5% kWh savings.

Furthermore Powerstar saved 11% in maximum demand (kVA) and enabled KPMG to achieve considerably lower CO2 emissions and reduce their impact on the environment.

“We trusted Powerstar technology for our company to save money and energy while reducing the carbon footprint.

Saving results proved that we have made the correct decision.

Powerstar technology is highly recommended to any interested party”
