INTRODUCTION

ipH Iakovos Photiades Foodstuff Suppliers Ltd. was founded in 1981. Foodsaver is ipH’s own retail chain of food stores launched in 2011 that sells a wide variety of value for money own-label foodstuff.

With eight stores across Cyprus, Foodsaver offers a diversity of products in a convenient, comfortable and friendly environment.

The company hold ISO 22000 and HACCP accreditations to certify the quality of the food, from the port to the point of sale.

THE CHALLENGE

Foodsaver had previously installed two Powerstar voltage optimisation systems within the Latsia and Aglantzia stores and following positive results, were looking to reduce energy consumption at its remaining six stores.

As with the previous installations, it was important that each evaluation, survey and installation was completed with minimal disruption to both daily operations and customer experience.

THE SOLUTION

Following a full evaluation at each of six sites, Powerstar identified the incoming voltage profile at all the sites to be fairly stable but higher than required for the equipment being utilised on-site.

The Powerstar team therefore recommended the installation of Powerstar LITE voltage optimisation systems to reduce the voltages by a fixed amount.

SAVINGS AND BENEFITS

Analysis of the two previous installations found both sites continue to benefit from reduced electricity consumption above and beyond the 100% guaranteed savings, which has contributed to reductions in CO2 emissions and energy spend.

KEY FIGURES
