The Tadcaster Community Swimming Pool first opened in December 1994 and is one of the region’s most popular swimming pool and fitness venues. It offers a varied programme including: general swimming, sessions for the Over 45’s, aquafit, a disabled club, pool parties, a canoe club, a junior swim squad, parent and toddler sessions, adult lane swimming as well as an extensive swimming lesson and Fitness Suite program.
CHALLENGE
The swimming pool is open seven days a week from early morning until late at night so the Powerstar team had to arrange the site survey and installation at a time which would not interfere with the normal running of the facility
SOLUTION
After monitoring of the voltage showed an average voltage delivered to site of 247.5V it was decided to install a 144kVA Powerstar voltage optimisation system to reduce the voltage by 22.5V.

After installation Tadcaster Community Swimming Pool are saving 16.6% on their energy consumption which is an annual saving of 79,650kWh and a yearly reduction of 43.1 tonnes of CO2 emissions
