Coffee Break Q&A with Sam Reid
In this month's coffee break we're talking to a new member of the Powerstar team, Sam Reid.
We’re joined for more Q&A this month with a second new team member in the project team, David Hesketh.
David is our new Senior Project Engineer. Here’s what he has to say on Powerstar and his role in our business.
My initial priority is to streamline the project process and facilitate better teamworking.
Working alongside Sam, we’re digging deep into the projects. We’re confident that with better planning and communication, we can really simplify and improve the process. Better alignment will mean faster, easier project delivery.
I’ll also be working on building strong relationship with our suppliers and subcontractors. It’s a key priority to form strong, sustainable partnerships.
Manufacturing and engineering is in my blood. My last 3 roles have been as regional manager, electrical manager and installation manager.
In terms of what I do, I build teams and implement processes, specifically in the M&E and renewables sectors. I love big projects and complex process challenges. The results I strive for are efficiency, effectiveness and improving profitability.
I’ve been here 5 weeks and focused on getting conversant with our product range, processes and organisation. We have a lot of great strengths as a business and its my job to make sure we capitalise on them.
We’re looking forward to the impact David has on our business. He’s got a wealth of experience and we’re confident he’ll be a real asset to us. If you’d like to join our team, take a look at our current vacancies here.
