On the 27th and 28th November 2019, Powerstar showcased its range of smart energy technologies on stand D34 and in the Flexible Power Zone at the Energy Management Exhibition (EMEX) at the ExCeL Centre in London.
The Energy Management Exhibition (EMEX) connects energy users with leading experts, policy makers, suppliers, and technical solutions, presenting a rare platform and opportunity for commercial and industrial businesses to discuss their energy needs under one roof. This enables delegates to better understand how the energy network works and the opportunities available to them for reducing consumption, CO2 emissions and improving power resilience, which is especially important as the energy transition towards a decarbonised network accelerates.
Throughout the event, visitors came and spoke to us on our stand to explore the topic of the flexible power future and how the benefits of this future can be achieved through a comprehensive strategy that deploys smart energy technologies simultaneously. Our team were on hand to answer any questions about Powerstar’s manufactured and partner technologies and around the general direction of energy as the network becomes decarbonised and decentralised. Energy industry experts, including Powerstar’s CEO, Dr Alex Mardapittas, amongst other Powerstar team members, were available to help and best advise visitors on their energy requirements.
Powerstar CEO, Dr Alex Mardapittas, also delivered a presentation on “Demand Side Response and Flexibility,” during which he shared his extensive knowledge of the industry as he explored the four core concepts of the flexible power future – energy efficiency, energy flexibility, power resilience, and actionable insights.
Following this, on Thursday 28th November, Dr Alex Mardapittas featured on a panel discussing the topic of “Battery Storage: Getting Ready For Mass Roll Out” alongside Lord Rupert Redesdale, CEO, Energy Managers Association; Guy Bartlett, Sales Director, SMS Plc and Stuart O’Neil, Head of New Portfolio Development – Community Energy, Siemens Managed Services.
