Powerstar, a leading provider of smart energy solutions, is exhibiting Powerstar VIRTUE, a complete energy storage system for behind-the-meter applications, at once again at this year’s Energy Management Exhibition (EMEX). The exhibition takes place from the 21st – 22nd November, 2018 at the ExCel centre in London.
During the event, on 21st November, Dr. Alex Mardapittas, Chief Executive Officer of Powerstar, will be delivering a presentation on “The importance of energy storage in securing the supply and maximising renewables.”
The presentation will be taking place in the Renewables, Supply and Storage theatre, where, on 22nd November, Dr. Mardapittas will be returning to take his place in an expert panel for a discussion on “Battery storage as a solution”.
Powerstar VIRTUE is a complete integrated energy storage and microgrid solution with smart grid control for behind-the-meter applications, which enables users to maximise their existing assets by integrating them with VIRTUE energy storage.
The installation of Powerstar VIRTUE also results in energy costs savings, as the solution switches to stored energy at times most beneficial to the end user, such as during peak DUoS periods. In addition, it negates operational risk through its full Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) capabilities that provide site-wide backup to the load in the event of a power failure.
Powerstar invites attendees to visit stand D34 to learn more about the growing market for behind the meter energy storage in the UK and its role in the energy transition. The company’s team of experts will be on hand to answer any questions and provide an outline of the benefits of Powerstar VIRTUE, including energy resilience and maximising renewable generation, as well as other smart energy solutions such as the company’s patented voltage optimisation technology, and the recently launched super low loss amorphous core smart transformer, Powerstar SO-LO.
Visitors to the stand will also be able to see a 3D model of a 1MW Powerstar VIRTUE solution. The model allows delegates to view a table top version of a VIRTUE system, providing a visual aid to the solution’s technology.
Dr. Mardapittas added: “With the market for behind-the-meter energy storage growing as the energy transition progresses, it is clear that energy storage and the benefits it provides, such as energy resilience and maximising renewables, will be a key part of the energy landscape.
“At EMEX we will showcase the multitude of benefits energy storage offers and we look forward to discussing these with a host of companies across a range of sectors.”
