John joins us at a transformative moment for the business as we embark on a new era of sustainable growth. Bringing fresh energy and leadership, he is committed to enhancing stakeholder value and unlocking the full potential of our talented team and cutting-edge technology.
John Campbell began his career in systems and avionics before moving to British Telecom, where he played a key role in rolling out the UK’s first fibre network during the internet boom of the 1990s. He rapidly advanced through senior leadership positions, becoming Chief Executive of Tyrone Council at just 36 years old. Since then, John has held executive roles at Fortune 500 companies, including Teletech and Brinks, and more recently at BES Group. He was also recognised as one of the ‘Top 10 Most Innovative CEOs to Watch in 2024’ by CIO Magazine.
From transforming businesses into multi-million-pound successes to leading organisations of up to 7,500 people, John has a proven track record of delivering transformational leadership, driving customer-obsessiveness and stakeholder value. As Executive Chairman, he will work closely with Powerstar’s senior leadership team to unify the company’s vision, foster collaboration across departments, and drive both operational excellence and commercial performance.
