As a leading provider of smart energy solutions, sustainability is a core value at the heart of Powerstar.
It is for this reason that we take great pride in achieving a silver Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) certification, having worked with EcoVadis. Not only is this a fantastic achievement in itself but it also places Powerstar into the top 30 per cent of those companies which were evaluated.
Although our products of voltage management, energy storage, and distribution transformers all provide clear and strong sustainability advantages, this alone was not enough to achieve the certification. As part of the evaluation process we provided a wide range of documentation and information which was assessed against the four key areas of the EcoVadis sustainability analysis. These four areas are – environment, labour practices, human rights, and sustainable procurement.
The achievement of a silver certification highlights our commitment to maintaining the high standards of sustainability internally that our products achieve externally. To achieve this working alongside EcoVadis further highlights our commitment to CSR. This is because EcoVadis are a global organisation that provides reliable CSR ratings and scorecards which cover 21 CSR indicators. Additionally, the robust CSR of EcoVadis itself, being built on the three pillars of people, process, and platform, enabled us to heighten our own CSR qualities.

As a result of this achievement, we look forward to continuing our working relationship with EcoVadis to maintain high standards of CSR, with the next assessment scheduled to take place later this year.
